My first picture of my first 365 attempt.

Why am i bothering you ask?

Well firstly to give me a reason to take a picture every day, that way making sure i use my lovely Epeeone.
Secondly taking a picture every day and uploading it to flickr and blogging about it makes me use my blog as well.

There will be no set theme for the pictures but they will be mostly abstract.
But also including portraits both natural light and studio / strobe work, product photos, self portraits or in short any type of picture.

The pictures will be shot as jpeg and all edits are in camera or in simple fun software like poladroid

Hope you all will enjoy this and give me feed back.

Cosina Announced the Second fastest M mounte 50mm after the Leica f/0.95

And to my knowledge the second fastest (stils photography) 50mm ever (only being surpased by the canon and leica f/0.95's)

Why is this cool news you may ask?

Well, the previusly mentioned Olympus e-p1 allredy has a multitud of m-mount to micro four third adapters available.

Being the last one to blog about this i bett, I still have to make a post about the rumored Olympus micro Four thirds camera rumored to be released some time this month.

This in my mind is the future of digital photography, a tiny system (interchangeble lens) camera.

This camera might just be the digital system camera that lets me shoot the same way i do on film.

Some thing just dawned on me while i was browsing through my blog archive.

I was right.
And i just love being right!

What was i right about, you may ask?

That palm completely and utterly dropped the fucking ball when they canceled the palm foleo conspete.

How do i know I'm right?

Economic down turn + low end cheep Linux laptop = profit

If you don't belive me ask Asus, Aacer, Dell and a score of other computer companies.

I also think that the foleo (forgoing the phone companion concept)
would have been a way cooler net bok!
mostly because it would have been a Palm product.
(hell if i paint my dell x300 black and add an ssd i would almost have one :P)

So keep an eye on this page and you might just catch some other word of wisdom.

As promised a new blog post a few hours to late.

Looking trough some of the pictures shoot over the last few days whit my trusty t70 and sigma 15mm fisheye lens.
I came to thinking (as most people know this is not a good thing) When is a lens to wide.
I have no inhibitions about sticking a fisheye on my camera and use that to shoot portraits of the more spontaneous kind like the on shown here of the lovely Sissel.
Then on the other hand I also know that its commonly agreed upon that one dos not do such thing, so i ask of you my fellow geeks and amateurs when is a wide angle just to wide?

After much deliberation i have finally decided on what camera to get.
I have decided to get the excellent Nikon d90, which i consider to be the best compromise between size and image quality, at the best price point.

One might argue that i should invest in a full frame system such as the d700, but considering my current monetary constraints and the fact that d700 is just to large for street photography
(my new favorite pastime) i have decided on the d90.

Whit the d90 I'm also getting the excellent Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX (11-16mm f/2.8) wide angle and the Nikkor 50mm 1,4 these two lenses will cover my preferred focal lengths.
I will also be getting a Nikon sb900 and other accessories.

I will eventually get the d700 and 24-70 but not until i get my tax returns this summer.

A new take on the my normal desktop shoot, sins i don't have my own desk at work i decided to take a picture of our apple display (display as in exhibition of products) and sins i work in a camera store I did so using a Nikon d300 whit Nikkor 15 mm fish eye.
As much as it hurts my canon branded hart I must say nothing gives as much bang for the buck as this camera right now.

A mini review of the Lifeventure mini belt pack

Some time ago it dawned on me that i carry just to much crap in my pockets while at work, making it really hard to get at the stuff i wanted to use at any given time.
Fore instance I wold need my thumbe drive (A very nice nikon freebee) and it would be stuck. Which meant at that i had to pull out every thing from my pockets get out the usb stick and replease every thing else.

So how did i solve my conundrum you might ask, remove some of the crap from my pockets ?

No! I bought my selfe a Lifeventure Mini belt pack.
and after using the thing fore about a week i have com to really enjoy using it, It's no longer just used fore work but now hangs permanently on my shoulder bag while not in use.
It has god carrying capacity and good internal sorting "system" in other words it holds my stuff nicely organized (as far as that is possible).
The build quality is also quit nice.

Lifeventure is a brand m not to familiar whit, I stumbled upon them while working my second jobb as an employ at Oslo Kamera Service
Lifeventure seems to delivere nice solutions aimed squarely at the sports/outdoors kind of crowd, this also means that there is a lot of nice solutions for us gadget geeks.

In conclusion if your any thing like me and carry way to much in you pockets i can strongly recomend the Lifeventure Mini belt pack

The Palm Foleo would make a lot of my dream's about what portable computing should be,
I mean Instant on small and portable Linux laptop ? what is not great about that.

You should have just dropped the whole smart phone companion as that was just a load of crap.
In stead you should have sold i t as what it was, the best damn Linux laptop concept ever.

The iede of an instant on portable wifi enabled *nix terminal for less then 5000 nkr makes me skip a hart beat every time!

The first post in waaaay to long, but honestly little has happened since Christmas, so here is a short summary:

I'm still together whit Torgunn :D
I'm still the same asshole
I have still not finished any thing on my computer project
I have started my second big school project the last one before my exams project
I still write boring and stupid blog posts
You still don't comment

I have gone from Linux fanboy to Linux user *muchpride*
I have not found a place of apprenticeship
I am still very much in love whit Torgunn

Ok so that wasn't to short but hay you don't have to read it :p
Torgunn's move to Oslo seems a lot likelier :D which helps my some what self pitiful and depressed state, so dos the return of the good damn sun which I have missed a lot :P

So Christmas has come upon us again, it seems to happen every year and every year it seems to take me by surprise, this year I'm spending my Christmas at a farm.
Not just any farm, but Torgunns family's farm, I'm really looking forward to it and i think it will rawk, mostly cus I'm going to be whit Torgunn for the first time in months...

So the project has startede in a way, I have put inn a order for Lian Li pc-v300 in black :D
This is going to be the base for my first mod/comp project in year's.
Im not going to base it around the mac pro main board as i first planed to but im going to bulid an intel based system and stuff a mac mini and a nano-itx in there to !

but the dualcpu is the one i really want.

I'm looking to implement this in a larger project I'm working on.

I have decided to take Almen på bygg (It's a one year course that gives me what i need to enter uni level studies). Why you ask ? well I'll tell you, I have found this Norwegian school in NewYork that has a photography course and I have decided to take that course, so In roughly 1.5 years ill be packing my shit and heading over the pond :)
